History about me !
My name is Lee Foster and I am the Managing Director of The Gold Plating Company Ltd. I have been running the company since March 2007 and have never looked back. This was the best decision I made when looking for a new job and love what I do. I have always wanted to be my own boss and finally got there in the end after many jobs since leaving school. I started this business from absolute scratch after lots of research on the internet into what the job involved. The company now has many return customers and I thank 
you all for helping me to get the business off to a good start. I have slowly over the past 2 years built up the good reputation of the company and have done work for many people including V.I.P. I take pride in my work and quality and will always do that as I am a fussy person. Everything I do has to be perfect (so i'm told), but there is nothing wrong with this. As this site is quite new, I will probably update this soon when I find the right words to explain myself. But for now, have a great day and hope you may use my services soon.
Where I Live
I live in Horwich, Bolton which is in between Manchester and Preston. Our local landmark is the Reebok Stadium and we are around 2 miles from there towards Horwich town centre.
Who I do Work For
I do work for the general public, companies, stars, TV. I have basically done work for many clients. I have done a lot of work for other plating companies due to my flexibility. I do not limit myself to a certain type of work and will try to complete all jobs that I get asked to do.
Types of Work I can Do
I can do all metals new or old. I can plate onto plastic also but have limitations with this due to the long process required to achieve a good quality finish. Golf balls are the main thing I do in plastic as these are asked for all the time. Conductivity requirements for machinery parts are another thing we do requiring the plastic plating process.
Items I Can Plate
I can plate lots of items large or small. Items like Bathroom fittings, Light Fittings, Antiques, Car Emblems, Golf Clubs, Jewellery (Watches, Earrings, Rings, Chains, Bracelets, Belly Button Bars, Tongue Bars, Cuff Links etc...), Motorbike Parts, Car Parts, Cameras, Mobile Phones, Door Handles, Cutlery, Ipods, Pens, Tools.... The list is endless really but that is just a short list of the many things we can plate in all finishes.
The Finishes I Do
Gold. 24ct Gold, 18ct Gold, 9ct Gold, 18ct Rose Gold, 18ct White Gold, 18ct Green Gold and Antique Gold in 3 different shades. I also do Bright Copper Plating, Bright Nickel Plating, Bright Chrome Plating and Antique Copper Plating. We also do Chrome Stripping and Nickel Stripping.
Metal Polishing
I do Metal Polishing also and can achieve various finishes. Linishing, Satin Finish Polishing, Mirror Polishing, Aluminium Polishing, Paint Removal, Rust Removal, Oxidisation Removal, Anodising Removal from Aluminium and Mopping up. We do this to all types of metal including polishing of Stainless Steel. Good quality Stainless Steel can be polished without being plated afterwards as it does not rust.

Without You all we would not be here now. We would like to say a big thank you to Lee Wilkinson of Bolton who has been a customer right from the very start of our operation. Lee has had a Mobile Phone gold plated by us and mainly brings us all his motorcycle vespa scooter parts for plating. He recently had his bike featured in the Scootering Magazine Issue No. 275, May 2009. He was kind enough to mention our company in this feature and was amazed when we got the magazine and saw what he had said about us. This is what was said:

Plating Update (23-06)2009
We have now stopped the aluminium plating process. We apologise for this. We may do it again in the future, but for now we have stopped it.
New Website2009
In June I have set up this website myself from a template purchased online. I aim to keep this site updated as often as possible.
Created www.goldproducts.co.uk. We created this website as we get asked so many times if we offer products for sale. We have got together the most sought after items, given them various finishes are now pleased to offer these for sale at very good prices.
Plastic Plating2008
Got together a plastic plating process that enables us to give various finishes onto plastic. We are asked all the time if we can do plating on plastic. Yes we can but are limited to size. We only do items that are under 5" x 4" maximum. We do this process mainly for conductivity purposes for machinery parts. Platic Plating on Golf Balls is the main thing we use the plastic plating process for and have many orders for these, both in the UK and Abroad.
Plating on Aluminium2008
We introduced to the public our new plating on Aluminium process. We are now able to do plating on Aluminium with various finishes available. We can remove anodising, polish and plate the aluminium which are the only processes needed for aluminium to prepare it for the plating process.
Our first big order2007
We was asked by a large company in London to Gold Plate 250 Ipod Nanos. We had to remove all the engraving that was on the rear of these using the linishing and polishing process. Then we had to engrave the rears with another companies logo and then give them a 24ct Gold Plated mirror finish. We had 4 days to complete this order and did in the timescale we was given. Due to the Ipods being valued at £25,000 we did not want these to be delivered by courier. I personally delivered these myself to London in time for them to be taken over to Japan for the customer.
Started the company2007
The Gold Plating Company Ltd was founded on the 17th March 2007 and took off within weeks of start-up due to the high demand for various plating processes. I started off with our original website that was soon updated with a more professional one and set out delivering flyers all round our local areas. Work started coming in as we was delivering the leaflets and many of these first customers still use us now.
